I’m Jennifer Matthews, artist & owner of Island OYSTER in Charleston, SC. I’m a proud mom to three boys and married to the love of my life and biggest supporter. I have a degree in Small Business and graduated with honors in Spanish. What originally started as a creative outlet while our youngest two were toddlers evolved into making gifts for friends with my large shell collection. Eventually after some encouragement, I opened an Etsy shop, and as that grew, decided to switch to my own website.

I have always been drawn to God's raw, natural beauty around me. It’s such a joy “wasting away the day” with family and friends looking for "the good ones", collecting driftwood, and soaking in the beauty of the water because “time like this is never truly wasted”.
